Notion

Cartographer seamlessly integrates with Notion, allowing you to instantly generate and update Notion pages from your Cartographer documents with a single click.

Connecting to Notion

  1. In the left-hand menu, click the Integrations navigation button.
  2. In the top-right toolbar, click the Add Notion Integration icon.

  4. You’ll be redirected to Notion. Ensure you’re signed in to the Notion instance you want to connect.When prompted, choose the pages you’d like Cartographer to access, then click the Allow Access button at the bottom.

  6. Once connected, the integration will appear in your table. You can edit or delete it at any time by clicking the chevron icon. Additionally, you can set a default page for publishing and update the integration’s name as needed.


Syncing your documents to Notion

  1. Navigate to the document you want to sync. In the top-right toolbar, click the ellipsis () and select Integrations.

  3. Your Notion integration will appear in the grid view. Click the Connect button to link your document to your Notion instance.

  5. A modal will appear prompting for two fields: Parent Page, and Page Name.
    • Parent Page Select where you want your page to live by selecting the page from the dropdown.
    • Page Name: The name your page will have in Notion. Defaults to your Cartographer document name.

  7. Once all required fields are filled out, click Save to connect.
  8. Once your document is connected, you must click the Resync button in the bottom-right corner to create or update Notion pages. This ensures that any edits, additions, or formatting changes in your Cartographer document are reflected in Notion. Click Resync whenever you make changes to keep your Notion pages up to date.

  9. Resync integrations

    Note: due to the nature of the Notion API, resyncs can take up to a couple of minutes to complete.

  10. To edit or delete a document integration, click the ellipsis () icon to access the available options.
  11. That’s it! Your document is now viewable in Notion.
